Miss Australia Progress International 2015 Sarah Gray
#MAQuest MISS PROGRESS INTERNATIONAL 2015 - Women for Progress was held in Italy from 7th-18th of May. The MAQuest's newly crowned Miss Australia Progress International 2015 is Sarah Gray.
Name: Sarah Gray
Occupation: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide.
Why did you join the MAQuest?
I joined the quest because i wanted to be part of a pageant with a difference. I wanted to be able to use my knowledge as a medical student to help educate others about the cause.
What are you planning to do with your title?
I'm planning to continue with ovarian cancer awareness activities and hoping to implement a scheme educating indigenous Australians.
Miss Progress International's Mission;
This competition aims for progress. Each contestant is required to develop a description of her ideas and projects, with reference to one the four fields listed below:
- Integration of cultures
- Human Rights
Sarah's project is aimed at CLOSING THE GAP. Proudly promoting the human right to health education and awareness to the indigenous and rural communities of Australia through ART 4 AWARENESS. Please share and like our project page. Sarah will make regular updates here on important issues, statistics and awareness topics affecting our Indigenous Australians and how through Art 4 Awareness we are able to make a difference.
In just over a week I'll be in sunny Italy, representing Australia at the world finals! I'm proud to say that all funds raised from the welcome dinner will be going to the victims of the tragedy in Nepal. I'm glad I can help make a difference. "Art for Awareness" will be implimented soon. Today I was featured on the cover and page 4 of the YP Country times today about my success in the Miss Australia Quest MAQuest
What I learned during Miss Progress International 2015:
I learned that there is many differences with people across cultures and that it's important to actively make an effort to get to know everyone regardless of their background or beliefs and always have fun. I made top 3 in the Cultural Diversity Award, voted by our peers.
